January 2026
I was at the Illustrators’ Fair at Kings Cross on Saturday 6th December. It was so busy there, 10k people walked through the doors and it was so heartening to feel so much love for the discipline of illustration in these times of AI and austerity and all.
I came away with so many memories of chatting to people, making some wonderful sales and realising that making art and connecting it with people really is one of my favourite activities. Long live human art :)
New year has arrived and I'm all ready to carry on illustrating in the ways I did last year but with a stronger direction towards collaboration, commissions and some juicy personal projects getting well underway.
Keep your eyes peeled for a whole new ‘publishing umbrella’ for my image and word’ books and stories by the end of February. It’s been a long held wish to do this, and now is the time. I’m working on the logo and promotional stuff at the moment, and adding new narrative projects too for the launch. This swallow below isn’t a part of the logo itself but gives a very good taster for theme for what’s to come. I’m very excited about this!
